Relics & Old Trails Committee

(Bylaws – Article VII, Section 1)

The Relics, Old Trails and Historic Sites Committee, with the Fourth Vice President General as chairman, shall collect relics pertaining to the history of Texas to be placed in a museum designated by the donors and shall endeavor to locate, mark and preserve historic roads, sites and places. This committee shall cooperate with the San Jacinto Museum in the discovery and placement of relics pertaining to the Battle of San Jacinto.

 Memorial Medallions

Memorial Medallions were established by DRT as a way to promote and preserve The Republic of Texas history and to mark graves of DRT and/or CRT members. There are five types of Memorial Medallions.

DRT MEDALLION
The DRT Medallion is to mark the graves of
DRT (including Posthumous) members.

2 Sizes Available:
4 3/4 inch or 3 inch
CRT MEDALLION
The CRT Medallion is to mark the graves of CRT members.

1 Size Available:
4 3/4 inch
VETERAN MEDALLION
The Veteran Medallion is to mark the graves or cenotaphs
of people whose service was rendered in the Texas
Revolutionary War between the years of 1821-1836.

1 Size Available:
4 3/4 inch
DEFENDER MEDALLION
The Defender Medallion is to mark the graves
or cenotaphs of people whose military service
was rendered for The Republic of Texas between
April 23,1836 and February 19, 1846.

1 Size Available:
4 3/4 inch
CITIZEN MEDALLION
The Citizen Medallion is to mark the graves or cenotaphs
of people whose residence was in The Republic of
Texas before February 19, 1846 (not the State of Texas).

1 Size Available:
4 3/4 inch
HISTORIC SITE MEDALLION
The Historic Site Medallion is to mark any historic
site, landmark, structure or trail that was
important to the creation of and/or during The
Republic of Texas period.

11 inch (shown at bottom)
