Description:  The Jack C. Hayes pin commemorates John Coffee “Jack” Hays, famous Ranger and Mexican War Officer. Hays County, created in 1848, was named in his honor.  The pin is an exact duplicate of the famed life-size sculpture of Hayes installed at Hays Courthouse in San Marcos by world renown, 4th generation Texan, Jason Scull.  Colors are red, blue, and gold.  Horse and rider are 3-dimensional gold.  It is a die struck soft enamel pin.

"True Women" Pin
True Women Pin

Description: The True Women pin honors member Janice King Woods Windle’s literary contrubution about pioneer women in Texas history.  The pin is modeled after the “True Women” book cover and denotes the fictional characters of Georgia, Sarah and Euphimia.  These characters and the Texas landmarks including Seguin, where the author was raised, are based on family stories passed down through the generations.  Colors in the pin are red, white, blue and gold.  The women are 3-dimensional gold.  It is a die struck soft enamel pin.
